During a past interview, the son of the veteran star talked about how he was not present during the reiterated version of James Gunn’sThe SuicideSquad.Earlier in 2016, when David Ayer directed the film, it featured Scott Eastwood as Lt. GQ Edwards as one of the main team members alongside the villains that also includedWill Smithas Deadshot. TheWrath Of Manstar explained that due to circumstances, alongside his father’s advice, he took his leave from the film as well as the DCEU franchise. He said:
“They didn’t want to pay me any money for those next movies, and … they didn’t have another script for the other movie, so I didn’t know what I was going to be signing myself up for. (His Father) said, ‘If it feels like they really need you and if it’s a good part, then do it. If not, then don’t.’ I didn’t have the answer to those questions at that time. I wasn’t going to have the answers, and they were pressuring me. So ultimately it didn’t happen,”
Therefore, taking his father’s advice along with witnessing the failure of the original film, Scott Eastwood didn’t return to the DCEU.
