While many have gotten used to this, Bale seems to look at this aspect of his profession as a reason that he might quit acting altogether.

Christian Bale Does Not Like Physical Transformations When It Comes To Acting

During an interview withGQ,Christian Baletalked about whether he thinks that his acting career will end at some point. The actor revealed that even though he loves his profession, this is something that he has thought about quite a lot, wondering when his career will ‘finally’ end. He stated that even though he loves his job, he also loved it when he wasn’t acting and enjoying his hobbies and free time.

“I’ve always been bent on ‘When’s this gonna end? This has to end.’ I like doing things that have nothing to do with film. And I find myself very happily not playing dress-up, not pretending to be somebody else for long lengths of time,”he stated.

Bale then went on to say that he also gets tired of constantly having to dress up as a completely different person for extended periods of time and have to go through serious physical transformations for his roles. The actor recently played the role of Gorr in Marvel’sThor: Love and Thunder, where he has to seriously change his physique, as well as put on a lot of makeup for the role.

Christian Bale Shares A Love-Hate Relationship With Acting

Christian Bale, who has been acting since a very young age, then went on to talk about the real reason he got into acting. The actor revealed that he would play pretend with his friends and family, naturally as any kid would, and realized that he was quite good.

“Look, me and a couple of friends, we were kinda doing these little skits. But every kid does. Every kid acts a little bit in that way. And then, just, I found myself in the position that family things…finding I can support the family through doing it: That’s why I’m doing it. And I do have an absolute love/hate relationship with it,”Bale added.

He soon realized that he would be able to support his family through this profession and decided to take it up. He then went on to add that this is one of the main reasons why he is in the profession, adding that this is the reason why he shares a complicated, love-hate relationship with his profession.
