????WARNING: Spoilers ahead, this article is for people who are watchingWhat If..on Disney+. Do not read on unless you have watched the first episode“What If…? Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?”.????
Marvel Studios has dropped its first animated project ever and it’s a revolutionary series of storytelling. After a spree of successful hits on TV likeWandaVision,TFATWS,andLoki, the studios are back with another banger and have released the first episode ofWhat If…?on Disney+.
The premiere episode of the series dealt with a rather interesting plot that explored the possibilities of Peggy Carter taking the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rodgers. The events that followed were a chain of rewritten moments that we could recall, but not in quite the same way.The episode was however loaded with some amazingly hidden details that we doubt you would have seen

Here’s every MCU Easter egg that we were able to spot within the premiere episode of Disney+’sWhat If…?
1. The episode opens with a slightly different-looking Marvel Studios logo that is transitioned to an animated version. The switch gives an instant change of notion.
2. You can see snippets of upcomingWhat If…?episodes during the opening credits, like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, zombies,Tony Stark, Vision, and much more.
3. We’re introduced to a member of the Alien Watcher race called Uatu who is an immortal being and observes the multiverse. In the comics, Uatu observes the multiverse from the Blue Area of the Moon and was first introduced in 1963 in aFantastic Fourcomic book.
4. The moment which changes the path of the history of MCU is when Peggy Carter decides to not go into the booth. The scene is directly taken fromCaptain America: The First Avenger.
5. Due to her decision of staying, Heinz Kruger uses his lighter before Steve is jabbed with the super-soldier serum. In the movieCaptain America: The First Avenger,Kruger uses it after, since he was in the booth instead of on the floor.
6That very event led to many changes in the original story. Instead of shooting Dr. Erskine,Kruger ends up shooting Colonel Phillips while trying to retrieve the super-soldier serum the way he did inCaptain America: The First Avenger.
7Peggy’s shot at Kruger to stop him from escaping the lab was a replica of her original character’s aim atKruger’s driver inCaptain America: The First Avenger
8Even the snippets of Peggy’s transformation in the episode were mirrored shots of Steve’s transformation fromCaptain America: The First Avenger.
9. We meet Agent Flynn who is a prominent character voiced by Bradley Whitford in this episode ofWhat If…?He was previously featured in the shortMarvel One-Shots Agent Carter.
10. While testing her new strength, Peggy sends a punching bag across the room, which is the exact thing Steve does inThe Avengersout of frustration.
11. Steve tells Peggy about the possibilities of Flynn sending her on a USO tour. InCaptain America: The First Avenger, Steve had to do the USO tour unwillingly.
12. The box that Howard Stark hands over to Peggy which has her Captain Carter suit reads “Howards Designer Clothing” on the inside.
13Captain Carter’s suit is a nod to Captain Britain’s suit from the comics. In 1976, Marvel introducedBrian Braddock as Captain Britain
14. The shot whereHoward, Peggy, and Flynn are looking at the map is a mirrored representation ofPeggy, Steve, and Phillips looking at a similar map inCaptain America: The First Avenger.
15In this branched reality, Red Skull discovers Tesseract inTønsberg, Norway. This is the same place where New Asgard is located inAvengers: Endgame.
16. When Peggy goes searching for the 107 Infantry Regiment, she finds Bucky sharing his cell with Dum Dum Dugan. InCaptain America: The First Avenger, Steve finds Bucky in a HYDRA lab, not in the cell.
17We see another mirrored shot from the movie when Peggy,Bucky, and the rest of the Howling Commandos barge out of the factory. Even the formation is similar to how Steve busted out with the Howling Commandos inCaptain America: The First Avenger.
18. Steve’s HYDRA Stomper suit that Howard Stark has an uncanny resemblance to Tony Stark’s first Iron Man suit fromIron Man.
19. The HYDRA Stomper is labelled with a code ‘C-15’. This is a possible nod toCaptain AmericaIssue #115,which features Steve battling Red Skull and finding the Tesseract.
20The first drink that Steve has after rescuing the Howling Commandos inCaptain America: The First Avengerwas with Bucky, his closest friend. Here, Peggy shares her first drink with Steve.
21. When Peggy saves Bucky from tripping off the train, he mentions that she almost “ripped” his arm off with that grip. That is straightaway a nod to Bucky losing his arm later in the Infinity Saga and becoming The Winter Soldier.
22. With the help of the Tesseract, Red Skull unchains a deadly tentacle monster which appears to be Shuma-Gorath from the comics and Marvel Super Heroes video games. Shuma-Gorath is a mythical, multiversal, andone-eyed, tentacle monster who has often clashed with Doctor Strange.
Rumors suggest that Shuma-Gorath could possibly make an appearance inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
23. During the final minutes of the fight, Peggy makes use of a sword to attack the monster. This is a reference to one of Captain Britain’s signature weapons in the comics.
24In this branched reality too, Steve and Peggy’s dance is talked about which never happened due to various events. Steve’s disappearance inCaptain America: The First Avengernever let him have that dance which he promised Peggy. Here, we see Peggy making the sacrifice.
25. Peggy too emerges 70 years later after fighting the Shuma Gorath and is greeted by Nick Fury and Hawkeye. Loki had the same two faces greeting him when he used the Tesseract at the beginning ofThe Avengers
