Speaking of the cast ofOne Piece, they have been doing a lot of interviews and promotional videos for the last month. The fans learned a lot about them and the series through these videos. In one of the videos, the Roronoa Zoro actor Mackenyu revealed that his most memorable moment of the series was a gruesome injury that he suffered on the sets.

Mackenyu Maeda, popularly known as Mackenyu, played the character of Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’sOne Piece Live Action. His portrayal of the character was loved by everyone. He had to undergo rigorous training, especially his three-sword style, to master his role. But none of these are his most memorable memories fromOne Piece.

Captain Axe-Hand Morgan

Mackenyu’s most memorable moment ofOne Piece Live Actionis getting punched in the face, which resulted in a gruesome injury. The Strawhats were present onSTREAM WARSto promote their series. When the topic of the most memorable moment ofOne Piececame up, Mackenyu said,“When I got punched in the face, and my earrings almost fell out.”

When asked who did it, Mackenyu answered that Captain Axe-Hand Morgan did it. Mackenyu has been open about his experience on the sets. But this is the first time he said anything about being badly injured, and that too is a memorable memory. That is so like Roronoa Zoro.

How Did The Other Strawhats React?

Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Taz Skyler, and Jacob Romero Gibson were all surprised to hear such news from Mackenyu. The punch ripped the earnings of Mackenyu’s ears, so it must have hurt. The accident happened while shooting the first episode – Romance Dawn. Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, and Zoro were fighting Captain Axe-Hand Morgan.

One scene required Morgan to punch Zoro. Unfortunately, the punch landed a bit hard, and Mackenyu suffered an injury. The earrings, being ripped off, caused his ears to bleed. But ultimately, it was not any career-threatening injury. The medical on the set treated him, and he was ready for the next scene. Even though the Strawhats were shocked, but for him, it is like ‘Nothing Happened’.
